Overview
Located 45-70 km off the coast of Changhua County in the Taiwan Strait, Hai Long is a 1022 MW offshore wind project being constructed by project partners Mitsui, Gentari, and Northland Power, and has a strong focus on localization, through local supply chain development and workforce participation. It is comprised of two phases – Hai Long 2 (split into HL2A and HL2B) and Hai Long 3. Using 73 14 MW turbines, once operational, Hai Long will generate enough electricity to power more than one million Taiwanese households.
