Our Experience in Distribution
In 2020, building on our experience as power generators, we entered the electricity distribution space through the acquisition of a regulated utility in Colombia, Empresa de Energía de Boyacá (EBSA). Over the last five years, we are trusted operators and distributors, maintaining a stable, regulated platform to provide reliable electricity to 1.3 million residents in the Boyacá region.

Through our regulated utility, we ensure customers can access energy where and when they need it, transmitting and distributing power through well‑maintained infrastructure such as power lines, substations, and control systems.
The EBSA Electrical Rodeo (Rodeo Eléctrico) began in 2004 to enhance the safety and technical skills of workers at Empresa de Energía de Boyacá. Over the years, it has grown into a national competition, drawing participation from across Colombia and other Latin American countries. Featuring skill-based challenges such as transformer changes and high-altitude rescues, the event reinforces safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
In 2025, the Rodeo celebrated its 16th edition alongside EBSA’s 70th anniversary. Competing against 19 national delegations, EBSA secured first place overall.
