Overview
Nordsee One is a 332 MW offshore wind farm located 40 km off the German coast in the North Sea. Completed in 2017, it features 54 turbines across 41.3 km² and generates around 1.1 TWh of renewable electricity annually. The facility currently operates under the German Renewable Energy Sources Act regime, which is scheduled to step down in 2027. Nordsee One has also signed a five-year bilateral power purchase agreement with Shell Energy Europe Ltd. for approximately one-third of the wind farm’s production, commencing in June 2027.
