Gemini

Located 85 km off the coast of the Netherlands, Gemini is a 600 MW offshore wind farm completed ahead of schedule and under budget in 2017. As Northland’s first major offshore wind investment, it generates enough electricity to power 1.5 million people annually and reduces CO₂ emissions by 1.25 million tons per year. Gemini is one of the largest offshore wind farms in the North Sea, and was one of the largest in the world when the first turbine was connected to the grid in February 2016. The wind farm holds a 15-year subsidy scheme from the Netherlands government.
