2019 MHI Vestas - Aerial - Deutsche Bucht Offshore Wind Farm
Overview

Located 95 km west of Borkum in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), Deutsche Bucht is an offshore wind farm fully owned by Northland Power. Since entering commercial operation in 2020, the 260.4 MW wind farm has been operating successfully, generating enough renewable electricity to meet the annual needs of around 300,000 people and avoiding approximately 700,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. Deutsche Bucht benefits from stable revenues secured under the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG) until 2032.
