Long Lake

Long Lake Solar is a 10 MW ground-mounted solar facility located in Calder Township near Cochrane, Ontario, spanning approximately 40 hectares. Engineered for northern conditions, the project features fixed-tilt solar panels with steeper angles to maximize winter solar capture and shed snow efficiently. The facility has been operational since 2015, and benefits from a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).
