Located 85 km off the Netherlands coast, Northland is 60% owner of the €2.8 billion Gemini offshore wind farm. Gemini generates 600 MW, meeting the annual energy needs of one and a half million people and reducing the annual CO2 emissions of the Netherlands by 1.25 million tons. Gemini is one of the largest offshore wind farms in the North Sea, and was one of the largest in the world when the first turbine was connected to the grid in February 2016. Northland's project team reached financial close for Gemini in May 2014 and the project was completed in April 2017, ahead of schedule and under budget.
